An Evangelism Team (or E-Team) is the Luis Palau Association’s strategy to help city movements guide their passion for evangelism toward collaborative action. Building a culture of gospel conversations in every city–this is what E-Teams are all about.
Evangelism Team: A group of strategic local leaders (including pastors, nonprofit leaders, evangelists, and other people of influence) in a city that are passionate about evangelism and act as a catalyst to keep evangelism a central part of the gospel movement through many different means.
City transformation must include both word and deed if it is to be truly transformative. We know this holistic engagement isn’t easy (in fact, we had to the learn the hard way in our own city)!

This is our step by step guide on creating and implementing an E-Team in your city.
In Portland, two local E-Team leaders interviewed 50 local pastors on evangelism. These interviews helped them develop relationships and trust with pastors in the city. It allowed them to discover “positive deviations” on evangelism that they were not aware of.
You can download the 12 interview questions here that they used to learn about evangelism in your own city!
Download the Evangelism Team Action Plan to develop a 12-month roadmap for your E-Team! This resource includes guiding questions for each step, an example timeline, and recommended resources for your E-Team projects. This resource will be updated as we hear feedback from leaders like you.
How does evangelism in your city compare with other cities?
Is there a tool to measure the impact of evangelism in a city every year?
We’re creating a Digital Evangelism Assessment to answer these questions.
The Digital Evangelism Assessment is for:
- City movements with strong church unity.
- Local leaders who can send the assessment to diverse networks of local pastors and ministry leaders.
- Leaders who are willing and able to be in prompt communication with our team at LPA.
