Taking Church Unity to the Next Level

Be One Umpqua, formerly known as Douglas County Evangelical Fellowship, is a united church effort in Roseburg, Oregon. Recently they changed their name to reflect their mission to serve their city as one. What started as a group of pastors from various churches now includes Christ followers from all aspects of the community.

Pastor Steve Schenewerk says, “We as churches really ought to be on the front line of meeting specific social needs and we do that better collaboratively than we do as individual churches.”
