Coaching

Gospel movement work isn’t meant to be done alone.
We’re here to help.

We’re excited to introduce our newest venture: the City Gospel Movements Coaching Program!

We’ve spoken with nearly 300 gospel movement leaders over the last two years. Some leaders are just beginning on their journey of gospel movement work. Others are experienced practitioners who have witnessed the impact of the united Church in a city.

The City Gospel Movements Coaching Program connects seasoned practitioners with leaders seeking to take their gospel movement to the next level. A CGM Coach helps you envision what could be possible in your city’s unique context, and walks alongside you as you discover the steps it takes to get there.

Whether you’re just getting started or have been at this for a while and want fresh perspective on your organization, CGM Coaches exist to support you. What are you waiting for? Get started by filling out the form below!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the process for finding a coach?

(1) Fill out the form above, (2) City Gospel Movements team at Palau will connect you via email to a coach depending on your needs, (3) Schedule introductory call between a coach and leader

The first call is for the purpose of getting to know one another and exploring whether coaching/a specific coach is a good fit for you. After this call, next steps (including frequency and coaching format) can be discussed.

Who are the coaches?

All coaches have been vetted and approved by the City Gospel Movements team at Palau. The coaches are experienced practitioners with the heart of a teacher—they have valuable knowledge to share, and also desire to learn. They are men and women who are currently leading gospel movement work in their own city, so they understand the dynamics you are facing. Coaches come from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds, and from cities across the United States.

Is it free?

Yes. No strings attached.

In-person or online?

Primarily via video call. In-person meetings are the exception and dependent upon proximity of coach to the city and specific requests of the leader.

Do I have to live in the United States to request a coach?

Not necessarily, though all current coaches live in the United States.

Do you coach 1:1 or teams?

Both

Does everyone who ask for a coach receive a coach?

We endeavor to match every leader with a coach depending upon the availability of coaches and enthusiasm for the program.
